What is video (pre)Editing?

(pre)editing is video editing that is done before you load your clips into your video editor. While filming your videos, use SwitchTake to mark the time of bad takes, save good takes, set in/out points as well as start organizing your clips. SwitchTake Sequencer (PC/Mac) takes the timing of these edit events and matches them with your clips. The edits are applied to build an importable rough-cut sequence with everything ready to go.

Generate Video Sequences with SwitchTake

1. Record & (Pre) Edit Your Video

Use SwitchTake Mobile/Edit to make edit decisions while recording your video/audio.

Edit While You Record
Mobile App or Voice
Set Edit Points and Make Cuts
Add Markers
Organize Footage

2. Generate Sequences

Open SwitchTake Sequencer on your computer. SwitchTake will analyze your edits and create rough-cut sequences.

Select your media files
Set options and click build sequences
Copy link to sequence XML file

3. Import Sequences

Import pre-cut sequences into your video editing software. Premier Pro, Davinci Resolve & Final Cut Pro.
